Tottenham are confident they will complete a deal for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon next week.
Tottenham have already made two signings this summer with Tanguy Ndombele arriving in a £55m transfer and Jack Clarke joining from Leeds before being loaned back for the season.
And Spurs again look to be ready to raid the Championship with Sessegnon on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar.
The north London outfit have been locked in talks with the Cottagers for some time over the £25m-rated winger.
But Football Insider claim a recent breakthrough in negotiations has left Spurs feeling confident of finally getting their man.
The club are now hopeful of reaching an agreement with Fulham after extensive talks over the structure of a deal that should see his transfer finalised next week.
Spurs have also been in discussions over signing his brother, Steven Sessegnon.
The 19-year-old is Ryan’s twin and plays as a right-back and with Spurs on the lookout to fill that position with Danny Rose likely to leave the club, a second transfer is also being discussed.
Kieran Trippier has already departed for Atletico Madrid leaving Pochettino short of full-back options.
The England international penned a three-year deal with the La Liga giants in a deal worth £20m and revealed all on his chat with Pochettino before his departure.
“Obviously the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, but when Atletico Madrid were interested I didn’t think twice,” Trippier said.
“It was a great opportunity for myself, my family, to come and live in Madrid and experience it.
“Me and Mauricio had a conversation about my future.
“I explained there was a big opportunity at Atletico Madrid and it was an opportunity that I didn’t want to turn down.”
